Kids Camp

During the Kulimela Festival we will running a Kids Camp to look after and entertain children between the ages of 5 and 13. If you are interested for your child to attend please contact Nadiya through the organizers contact page. We are also looking for volunteers to help make the Camp a successful and wonderful experience for all the children. Please get in touch.

Age Groups

Group 1 - 5 years to 9 years
Grou 2 - 10 years to 14 years

We may accept children aged 4 years at our discretion but children below this age cannot be accepted.

Opening Days & Times

Thursday: 2pm to 6pm (includes snacks and drinks)
Friday: 9:45am to 7pm (includes lunch, snacks and drinks)
Saturday: 9:45am to 7pm (includes lunch, snacks and drinks)
Sunday: Not Available

Activities

The activities will depend on which group your child is in but will include:

* Sports/games
* Arts and crafts
* Nature related
* Performing arts

For example, we will be buying T-shirts for the kids that they can paint and decorate themselves (with some guidance from the adults and the help of stencils etc). The kids will then 'show off' their creations in a kids fashion show which will be held on the Friday evening as part of the evening entertainment on the main festival stage.

Register Your Child in the Camp

In order to ensure your childs participation in the Kids Camp (as numbers are limited) please contact Nadiya or Jahnavi through the Organizers Contact page. Upon arrival at the festival you will be required to complete a parental authorisation form and you will have to sign your child in and out of the Camp each day. We would also request all parents to volunteer for at least 1/2 a days assistance in the Camp.

Safety

The Kids Camp will be held in an enclosed area with two indoor rooms and a large enclosed outdoor playground (see the photo in the attachment below). Parents (or a person authorized by the parents) will be required to sign their children in when dropping them off at the Camp and sign them out when picking them up.

We look forward to making the Kulimela Kids Camp a truly memorable experience for all the children. The more assistance and support we receive the better we can ensure this happens.
