Dear prabhus,
All glories to Srila prabhupada and all glories to the Holy Name!
I would like to take this opportunity to express some deep appreciation for the community, locally and globally, for the success which was the Vancouver 24 hour kirtan.
First, in my sleep deprived estimation, it was a screaming success. Overall, the event ran smoothly with a few minor details which were ironed out. We could see Madana mohan’s hand moving in certain ways that showed us how He wanted the event to unfold. Many of us were forced to accept His desire and just “roll with it”.
From the core of my heart, I have deep appreciation for the devotees who stepped up and took many services and claimed them as their own for the success of the yagna:
~From showing up early and setting up live streaming during Anirudha’s very busy time at school.
~To buying camera equipment, being virtually present and just being ready and willing to serve in any way by Haridham.
~To being committed, availalbe for almost anything, washing POTS!! and just being “on-line” by Raghunath.
~To coming and arranging an amazing slide-show, basically at the last minute, being enthusiastic and supportive by Akrura.
~To the very tolerant cook and exquisite Gandharvika Kalarupini devi. Who knew??!!
~To an enthusiastic participant and emergency stand in Nitai Priya.
~To showing deep integrity and cooperation by Alina.
~To the generous donation of organic subji and good wishes by Discovery Organics.
~To the AMAZING slide show created by Rob. THANK YOU!!
~To the emergency stand in, Gopal Prabhu.
~To major stamina and bhakti-shakti by Chandra Mukhi.
~To the steady support and encouragement by Devavati devi.
~To the “only 5 minute meeting” which extended long after by Neemesh.
~To delivering tea to the weary chanters by Peter and Gandhari.
~To the admin who tolerated my inability to manage time properly. Thank you Naradamuni prabhu.
~To the devotees who were sending us constant feedback on how the live streaming looked so we could improve the quality at our end.
~To the committed “musicians” who played “till their arms fell off”, literally for hours, and especially to each and every kirtaniya who came, chanted their hearts out and stayed.
~To the pot washer extraordinaire, Chaya devi.
~And, really, a big heart felt thank you to Krishna Devata devi for really being the inspiration and driving force behind the whole planning and delivery of this glorious chant-fest. I want to plan events just like her when I grow up!
With all of you, we were able to participate in a very spiritual and powerful event that spanned the Globe. It is estimated that close to 30 locations were chanting with intent at the exact same time we were. And to think that this was all pulled together in just over a month and totally by word of mouth. Wow!
So, I welcome any and all feedback. It would seem from what I have heard so far, the devotees are enthusiastic to see something like this happen again in 6 months. and every 6 months after that for the pleasure of our presiding deities, Sri Sri Radha Madana Mohan.
Again, thank you so much for all of your participation in the very first 24 hour Global kirtan.
hare krishna, your aspiring servant, kmdd
