Guidelines & Age group
Hare Krsna,
The invitation to Radhadesh is an open invitation to all members of this loosly defined community. You are welcome to come and share your person and experience regardless of your personal life.
However, we do have a few responsibilities as guests whilst on the temple property itself.
We kindly ask all delegtes to refrain from any meat, intoxication, smoking, and illicit sex while on temple property. We are guests at the temple and it is to our credit to respect that.
We would really like to encourage all delegates to take these 4 days as an opportunity to connect and share excitement and fun in a straight way, it’s a real gift we can share and take back to our lives outside of this event. It is up to each of us to give this gift to one another.
Age
Kulimela as an event is oriented at an older generation of 18 and up. It is designed with that age group in mind, and does not cater for a younger audience of teens.
16-17
However, some youths of 16-17 may wish to come and in that case they must:
1) Have a letter from their parents approving their trip
2) Have someone who is 18 or older who has taken responsibility for them and has such approval from the parents.
This letter must be shown at registration for all those 16 to 17. Please contact us directly if you feel you are an exception to this rule. We can consider this after speaking to your parents, you, and your guardian for the event.
5-10
As many of the older Kuli’s have children, we will be providing a childrens program for young children aged 5-10. They will, in effect, have a festival of their own. We really believe this is an important aspect of the entire event, and an important part of their young lives.
We will do our best to provide facilities to help parents with younger children and perhaps some of our attendees will gather together to share the engagement of baby sitting.
Again, we hope to approach this with flexibility. These are guidelines and not fixed rules.
Sincerely,
The Organizers.
