Kulimela Event:

A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF HEART, HEAD AND SOUL

“The symbols of the self arise out of the depth of the body.”
C. G. Jung.

This workshop is rooted in the idea that the body and the mind are in constant reciprocal interaction. Our history, dreams, feelings, energy and spiritual experiences are all held within the body. In this workshop, we will be using creative movement as a vehicle for contacting our inner dance and for expression of the spirit. No dance experience necessary. We will learn how to trust again in the wisdom of our body to take us where we need to go in our psychic landscape. This exploration will include active imagination, voice dialogue, sound, ritual, drawing and relaxation, all used to awaken the symbolic capacity of our psyche and deepen our experiences.
Enjoy a rich and nourishing group experience, intense and profound, yet full of play and delight!

About Shyama-Kunda Dasi
Shyam is one of the older generation Kuli from New Mayapur in France. She lived in India in her early twenties where she studied the ancient art of Bharata-Natyam, the classical Sacred Temple Dance of South India and became a professional dance performer and teacher in Europe. Injury forced her to change her career and shift her attention from an ‘upward’ to an ‘inward’ journey. Shyam is now a qualified Dance-Movement Psychotherapist and an Integrative Psychosynthesis counsellor working with extremely vulnerable children and youths in London. She has many years’ experience as a group facilitator. Shyam’s interest is in a holistic approach to self and spiritual development that gives meaning to our personal history and our unrecognised potential
